Lyndsay Brown is an open-format DJ and MC performing at corporate events, weddings, festivals, and private celebrations across the Bay Area and Northern California, based in Sacramento. She has a knack for reading a room, setting the mood for conversation, then building the energy into a packed dance floor. Her sets feel personal, spontaneous, and made for the people in front of her.
Her entertainment career began in Hollywood, working with a nightlife promoter and talent manager whose bookings included Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, LMFAO, and Too Short. She also trained and performed in improv and sketch comedy at the prestigious Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre alongside performers including Nasim Pedrad, Colton Dunn, and Jim Woods. That experience sharpened her quick thinking, comedic timing, and ability to adapt on the fly, skills she brings to both the DJ booth and the microphone.
Influenced by open-format pioneers DJ AM, DJ Spider, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and Kevin Scott, Lyndsay grew up on Motown, funk, country, and classic rock. Today, her sets weave through R&B, disco, EDM and house, yacht rock, new jack swing, and '90s and 2000s hip-hop, from familiar favorites to unexpected gems. She mixes live, blending genres with creative transitions and scratching, and knows when to turn up the energy or let a great song breathe.
Her clients include Sutter Health, the American Cancer Society, Planned Parenthood, KCRA 3, Nugget Markets, and Sky River Casino. She is the resident DJ for Cal Expo and the California State Fair, with additional performances at Golden 1 Center, PayPal Park, Sacramento State's Hornet Stadium, the Crocker Art Museum, and San Francisco's legendary 1015 Folsom. Notable guests at events she's DJed include Lester Holt, Molly Ringwald, Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty, and Congresswoman Doris Matsui. She's opened for Snakehips, K. Gianni, and Vicetone, and performed post-concert sets following Ludacris, Dustin Lynch, Cypress Hill, En Vogue, and Tesla.

Can we choose a specific DJ?
Yes. Every DJ has a page showing the genres they play, the rooms they have worked and photographs from real events, so you can shortlist two or three yourself. Tell us your date and we come back with who is free.
Do your DJs work as MC as well?
Some do, and it is named on each DJ's own page rather than promised for the roster as a whole. A wedding package covers DJ and MC from the ceremony through the last dance.
What does booking a DJ cost?
It depends on your date, your venue and your hours - the same three things that decide what the room needs. Send those and a written quote comes back, itemised, usually the same day. Equipment, delivery, setup and strike are part of it rather than extras added afterwards.
What happens if the party runs long?
Overtime is charged in 30-minute blocks past the contracted end time, and the rate is named in your quote rather than discovered on the night.
Can we add lighting or live musicians to a DJ booking?
Yes. DJ, lighting and any live music are planned as one coordinated production, so the room reads consistently all night instead of as three separate bookings.
